Now is the best season to try green tea! Especially Chinese green tea, picked up before 清明节(the first week of April), is regarded as the best and most expensive tea. 😅 In ancient times, there used to be a tea tasting competition known as Toucha (Dou cha in Chinese) 闘茶. Participants were required to guess the tea brand and place of production by comparing diverse qualities of tea. Today, I selected two Chinese(西湖龙井,黄山毛峰) and two Japanese green teas (静岡深むし煎茶、宇治玉露). Who would have guessed that the Chinese and Japanese teas, both being green teas, could taste so different?
